REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD INVEST IN GHANA


Ghana which is located along the gulf of guinea and Atlantic ocean in the sub-region of west africa is also known as the republic of ghana is a good place to invest in. Its is the first country in sub-saharan Africa to gain independence post colonialism on march 06,1957.

Ghana is ranked as a peaceful country by the global peace index with a population of about 28 million. Being a democratic country, ghana's economic property and democratic political system have made it a regional power in west Africa. Ghana is a country enriched with natural reasources. It is a good place to invest because of its emerging designated digital economy with a mixed economy hybridisation and an emerging market with 8.7% GDP growth in 2012, making it a good country to invest in.

There are many reasons why you should invest in ghana and probably visit the country.

1. INVEST IN GHANA GOLD: The minig industry of ghana accounts for 5% of the country's GDP with GOLD alone contributing over 90% of the total exports.

Ghana is Africa's largest producer of gold, producing 80.5ft in 2008. Gold are mined in western and Ashanti region, with the remainder coming from river beds in tge Ashanti region and central region. Gold being a precious mineral and mined in large quantity in Ghana, investing on it will be a profitable thing to do.

2. COCOA PRODUCTION: Ghana is the second largest cocoa producer and exporter in the world making cocoa the main cash crop in Ghana and is regarded as the chief agricultural exports. Ghana cocoa is regarded as the most modeled commodity within the developing world.

In the year 1984, Ghana government reconstituted the cocoa sector to Ghana cocoa board (Cocobod). Undergoing further institutional reform aimed at subjecting the cocoa sector to market force. Subsidies for production inputs ( Fertilizers, insecticides, fungicides and equipments ) were removed and a measure of privatisation of the processing sector through atleast one joint venture.
Between the year 2000-2003, Ghana cocoa production grew to an average of 16%. Investing in cocoa production will be worthwhile.

3. OTHER NATURAL RESOURCES:The major natural resources of Ghana includes; diamond, bauxite, manganese, rubber, petroleum, hydropower, silver, salt and limestone. These natural resources play major roles in Ghana's finance. Last year, the country had a whooping 14.4% growth according to world bank.

According to the extractive industries transparency initiative, Ghana's government took in $50million in mining revenue alone in 2011 compared to $20million in 2010,bringing this sector of Ghana's economy on the increase.
4.TOURISM: Ghana formerly known as the Gold coast, a richly endowed country in sub-saharan Africa is blessed with dozens of historical monuments and tourist site like;

< 5. THE BIGGEST MARKETER IN WEST AFRICA: The kejetia market which is located in the kumasi central market is an open -air  market in the city of kumasi. It is the largest single market in west Africa with over 45 000 stores and stall. Goods and products sold at the kejetia market ranges from gold jewellery, diamond jewellery handcrafted, food produce, local Ashanti kente clothing fabrics, footwears and more.
